Congratulations to Dr. Angela Wandinger-Ness for winning The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award at the 11th Annual Excellence in Research Awards Ceremony. The ceremony, hosted by The HSC Office of Research and HSC Excellence in Research Award Committee, presented awards to six faculty for their teaching accomplishments in: Basic Science Research; Clinical Science Research; Population Science Research; Junior Faculty Research; and The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Winning faculty members were nominated by their colleagues, and selected through a vigorous, peer review, selection process by the awards committee. Dr. Wandinger-Ness’ passion for teaching grew after arriving at UNM, where she was inspired to combine her love of science and mentoring. She has had significant impact on the careers and lives of countless trainees and faculty. We are proud and honored to have her as a member of our department.
