Dr. Keith Pinckard

Dr. Keith Pinckard joined the faculty of the Office of the Medical Investigator as the Deputy Chief Medical Investigator on July 15, 2013. Dr. Pinckard comes to UNM from University of Texas Southwestern and the Dallas County Medical Examiner. Among other areas, he brings expertise in medical informatics as it pertains to forensic medicine. He will assume the role of OMI Information Systems Director.

Dr. Devon Chabot-Richardson

Dr. Devon Chabot-Richardson began her faculty position with the department on July 01. A New Mexico native, Dr. Richardson is a former Chief Resident in UNM Pathology who completed fellowships in Hematopathology and Molecular Pathology. Based primarily at TriCore, she joins our faculty in three divisions: Hematopathology, Laboratory Medicine, and Molecular Genetic Pathology.

Dr. Sam Reynolds

Dr. Sam Reynolds will join the faculty in Anatomic Pathology on October 01, 2013. Dr. Reynolds was former UNM Pathology Chief Resident who completed a fellowship in Cytopathology. Dr. Reynolds will have responsibilities in both surgical pathology and cytopathology at UNMH, TriCore and SRMC.

Dr. Karrisa Culbreath

Dr. Karrisa Culbreath is now officially on the faculty in Pathology as of July 01, 2013. Dr. Culbreath started her New Mexico career at TriCore where she has the title of Scientific Director, Infectious Diseases, Research and Development. Dr. Culbreath received her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at Vanderbilt University followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Medical and Public Health Microbiology at the University of North Carolina. In addition to her many laboratory and research responsibilities, Dr. Culbreath has significant teaching contributions to resident and medical student education.

Dr. Patti Gravitt

Dr. Patti E. Gravitt joined the faculty of the Department of Pathology as Professor on Aug, 5, 2013. Dr. Gravitt comes to UNM from the Department of Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore MD.  Dr. Gravitt was also the Vice Dean-Research at the Perdana University Graduate School of Medicine in collaboration with Johns Hopkins School of Medicine , Serdang, Malaysia. Among other areas, Dr. Gravitt brings expertise in viral oncology, human papilloma virus, vaccines and cancer prevention. Dr. Gravitt and Dr. Cosette Wheeler are building a strong collaborative research effort.
