Five Faculty: Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science

The UNM Department of Pathology congratulates Bridget Wilson Ph.D. on her recent election as a Fellow to the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Bridget 
Wilson is the Victor and Ruby Hansen Surface Professor in the Pathology Department, and one of four program leaders at UNM’s National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Cancer Center. "Triple A-S" (AAAS), is an international non-profit organization dedicated to advancing science around the world by serving as an educator, leader, spokesperson and professional association. In addition to organizing membership activities, AAAS publishes the journal Science, as well as many scientific newsletters, books and reports, and spearheads programs that raise the bar of understanding for science worldwide. This year, 701 Fellows were selected world-wide. Election as a Fellow of AAAS is an honor bestowed upon members by their peers. Fellows are recognized for meritorious efforts to advance science or its applications. Dr. Wilson joins 4 fellows within the UNM Pathology faculty: Elaine Bearer M.D., Ph.D.,  Janet Oliver Ph.D., Angela Wandinger-Ness Ph.D., and Ross Zumwalt M.D..
