Welcome to the Gillette Lab in the Department of Pathology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. We are an interdisciplinary team of scientists interested in the regulation of hematopoietic and leukemic stem cells. Together, we integrate cutting edge imaging techniques and in vivo mouse models with traditional biochemistry to investigate the mechanisms that control stem cell adhesion, trafficking, signaling, and repopulation. Our goal is to identify molecules and mechanisms that can be directly targeted to improve both stem cell and leukemia cell therapies.
