The Bone Marrow Pathology Group (BMPG) recently held their annual, national meeting in Albuquerque New Mexico on September 20, 2013. The Bone Marrow Pathology Group members include Drs. Adam Bagg , Carlos Bueso-Ramos, Kathryn Foucar, Robert Hasserjian, Eric Hsi, Sa Wang, Daniel Arber, Bill Morice, Attilio Orazi, and John Anastasi.
The Bone Marrow Pathology Group discussed and planned many new projects, which become research opportunities for the Hematopathology Fellows and Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellows at the UNM Department of Pathology. Last year, all five UNM Hematopathology and Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellows participated in at least one BMPG project, resulting in abstracts and manuscripts currently under preparation.
The Bone Marrow Pathology Group will hold their next annual meeting in Boston in 2014.
