Dr. Andrew Horvath received the Pathologist of the Year Award from the College of American Pathologists

The College of American Pathologists (CAP) recognized Andrew E. Horvath, MD, FCAP, with the CAP Pathologist of the Year Award – the College’s highest honor – at a special ceremony held on September 9, 2012, in San Diego at the College’s annual meeting, CAP ’12. The College established the award to honor a CAP leader for their outstanding contributions to the field of pathology, as well as to the programs and activities of the College. Our colleague, Dr. Horvath, is recognized for his leadership in guiding significant improvements in the overall governance and management of the College in an effort to deliver high quality patient care. He practices at Presbyterian Healthcare Services, TriCore Reference Laboratories, and the University of New Mexico Hospitals in Albuquerque. At the University of New Mexico’s School of Medicine, he is a clinical professor in the Department of Pathology. Dr. Horvath also serves on the board of directors for TriCore Reference Laboratories.
